Privacy Policy
Last Updated: September 20, 2026
1. Introduction
Welcome to BizBop ("we," "us," or "our"). We operate the website located at https://example.com (the "Site"), which provides a suite of 31 free, browser-based tools for SEO professionals, content writers, and web developers.
This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect when you visit our Site, how we use that information, and your rights with respect to your personal data. By accessing or using the Site, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy.
We are committed to protecting your privacy. Please read this document carefully. If you have any questions, contact us at contact@example.com or visit our Contact page.
2. Information We Collect
We collect two categories of information:
2.1 Automatically Collected Information
When you visit our Site, our web server and third-party analytics services may automatically record certain information, including:
- Your Internet Protocol (IP) address (anonymised where technically possible)
- Browser type and version
- Operating system
- Referring URL (the page you came from)
- Pages visited on our Site and time spent on each page
- Date and time of your visit
- Approximate geographic location (country and city level, derived from IP)
- Device type (desktop, tablet, or mobile)
2.2 Cookies and Local Storage
We use cookies and browser localStorage to remember your preferences (such as your selected light or dark theme) and to deliver and measure advertising. A full list of cookies we set is available in our Cookie Policy.
2.3 Information You Voluntarily Provide
If you contact us through the Contact form, we collect your name, email address, and the content of your message in order to respond to your enquiry. This information is not collected by any automated system on our static site — see Section 3 for details.
3. Client-Side Processing Statement
🔒 Critical Notice: ALL computations performed by BizBop's 31 tools occur exclusively in your web browser. No text, URLs, images, code, API keys, or any other input you enter into any tool is ever transmitted to BizBop's servers or any third-party server. This is an architectural constraint, not merely a policy — our website has no server-side processing infrastructure. Your data never leaves your device during tool usage. For complete technical architectural specifications, visit our Data & File Privacy Policy.
This means that if you paste sensitive content — such as draft articles, proprietary code, internal URLs, API credentials, or personal data — into any BizBop tool, that content is processed locally by your browser's JavaScript engine and is discarded when you close or refresh the page. We have no technical ability to access, log, or store your tool inputs or outputs.
You can independently verify this by opening your browser's Network Inspector (F12 in most browsers → Network tab) and using any tool. You will observe zero outbound data requests attributable to tool functionality.
4. How We Use Collected Information
The automatically collected information described in Section 2.1 is used for the following purposes:
- Analytics: Understanding which tools are most popular, how users navigate the site, and which content is most valuable, so we can improve the service.
- Performance monitoring: Identifying slow-loading pages or broken functionality so we can fix issues promptly.
- Advertising: Serving and measuring the effectiveness of advertisements displayed on the Site (see Section 5).
- Security: Detecting and mitigating malicious traffic, denial-of-service attempts, and automated abuse.
- Legal compliance: Meeting our obligations under applicable laws, responding to lawful requests from authorities, and enforcing our Terms and Conditions.
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to any third party for marketing purposes. We do not build personal profiles of individual users. We do not use your data for automated decision-making or profiling that produces legal or similarly significant effects.
5. Third-Party Services
We may use the following third-party services, each of which has its own privacy policy:
- Google Analytics (placeholder): A web analytics service provided by Google LLC. Google Analytics uses cookies to help us analyse how users use the Site. The information generated by the cookie about your use of the Site is transmitted to and stored by Google on servers in the United States. Google may transfer this information to third parties where required to do so by law, or where such third parties process the information on Google's behalf. Learn more: Google Privacy Policy.
- Google AdSense (placeholder): An advertising service provided by Google LLC that may use cookies and web beacons to serve advertisements based on your prior visits to our Site or other websites. You may opt out of personalised advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings.
Note: At the time of this writing, the above third-party services are included as placeholders. Actual integration may vary. We will update this policy when any third-party service is formally enabled.
6. Cookies Policy Summary
We use the following categories of cookies:
- Essential cookies: Required for the Site to function, including your cookie consent preference and theme selection.
- Analytics cookies: Help us understand how visitors interact with the Site (e.g., Google Analytics _ga, _gid).
- Advertising cookies: Used to deliver relevant advertisements and measure their effectiveness (e.g., Google AdSense cookies).
For a complete list of cookies, their purposes, and how to control them, please read our Cookie Policy.
7. Data Retention
We retain automatically collected analytics data for a maximum of 26 months, after which it is automatically deleted. Contact form submissions (if processed through a third-party form service in the future) would be retained for no longer than 12 months after the enquiry is resolved.
Cookie data is retained for the durations specified in our Cookie Policy. You can delete cookies at any time through your browser settings.
8. Your Rights
Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the following rights regarding your personal data:
- Right of access (GDPR Article 15): You may request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
- Right to rectification (GDPR Article 16): You may request correction of inaccurate personal data.
- Right to erasure (GDPR Article 17): You may request deletion of your personal data in certain circumstances.
- Right to restrict processing (GDPR Article 18): You may request that we limit how we use your data.
- Right to data portability (GDPR Article 20): You may request your data in a machine-readable format.
- Right to object (GDPR Article 21): You may object to processing based on legitimate interests or for direct marketing.
- California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) rights: California residents have the right to know what personal information is collected, the right to delete personal information, and the right to opt out of the sale of personal information. We do not sell personal information.
To exercise any of these rights, contact us at contact@example.com. We will respond within 30 days. Note that because we collect minimal data and do not store tool inputs, many of these rights may not be practically applicable in most situations.
9. Children's Privacy
BizBop is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided personal information to us, please contact us immediately at contact@example.com and we will take steps to delete such information from our systems.
10. Data Security
We implement appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect any personal data we do collect against unauthorised access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction. The Site is served over HTTPS. However, no method of transmission over the Internet or method of electronic storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
11. Changes to This Policy
We reserve the right to update this Privacy Policy at any time. When we make changes, we will update the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page. We encourage you to review this policy periodically. Your continued use of the Site after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
